So you want to learn to play blues guitar,
but where do you start? Well the first thing you may want to consider is the type of guitar you’ll need. More than
anything else this will be determined by what type of blues you want to play.
If your main interest lies in rhythm then a good old acoustic
guitar could suit you fine but make sure you go for a cutaway so you can still jam those cool
solos.

Santana then an electric is probably going to be the best choice for you.
So you’ve got your guitar, now what? One good idea can be to learn the licks and riffs of your
favorite blues stars. So find yourself some jam packs of their music and get jamming
Now before we get too carried away remember your going to have to spend some time learning
those all important blues scales, chords and riffs. One option is to try and learn from a book but this can be a
slow and often frustrating process. You could go for private lessons but these can work out very expensive over
time.
